Volunteer FAQ

Volunteer FAQ

Do I need to volunteer to consign?
No, you can just consign.  But there are many benefits to volunteering!  If you volunteer you can shop before other consignors and potentially earn up to 80% commission.

How long is each shift?
Each shift is 4 hours.

When do I need to arrive?
We ask that volunteers arrive 15 minutes prior to their shift for some training.

What times are available?
Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available.

How old do I need to be to volunteer?
All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

What should I wear?
We ask that volunteers wear comfortable clothes and shoes.  An ID will be provided to you when you check in for your shift.

What will I be doing?
There is a wide range of tasks for a volunteer!  These include:  set-up, check-in/inspector, sales floor, greeter, check-out, and take-down.   We could not run the sale without volunteers and Let’s Grow Together Sale appreciates each volunteer’s time!

Can I bring my children to the sale?
Unfortunately, it will be too difficult to help and watch little ones at the same time.  The sale is a fast paced environment, and we want all little ones to be safe.

Can I cancel/change my shift(s)?
Yes, you can change/cancel your shift up to 10 days prior to the sale without any penalty.

Can my spouse/relative work my shift for me?
Absolutely!  We just ask that you let us know if someone else will be filling in for you so you still receive your volunteer credit.

What happens if I can’t make my shift?

We understand that situations come up.  We ask that you find a replacement for your shift.  The sale relies on the help from our wonderful volunteers.  Unfortunately, if you do not meet your volunteer requirements, you will not be eligible for the volunteer benefits.  You also will not be allowed to volunteer at the next sale.
